PUSSY

The level of trust and respect you have for the brilliance of your pussy directly relates to the level of trust and respect you have with other women. The #MeToo movement is powerful for us to wake up and acknowledge the wrong doings and the shameful behaviors our society has suppressed but it is now time to step into trusting our innate divine, our innate female power, our innate sisterhood.

Recently I have been involved with some incredible female groups discussing female empowerment but at times it has all felt very superficial to me. “Is it safe for me to trust more women now that we are talking about empowerment? Am I really able to forget all the hurts I have felt from other women? Why are we man hating when we all love men?” On one hand we speak of female support but on the other hand there is an underlying feeling of: 'You are still my competition and if you come between me and my man, I will slay you with all of my new found power.” You feel me? Where do we stand in this?

Then it hit me. We cannot do this alone. We cannot shift without coming together and acknowledging we are all in this together. Male, female, homosexual and heterosexual alike. We cannot find a balanced sense of power between humans if we do not unite with one commonality. Sounds impossible for we are built to have different beliefs and preferences and ways we like to do things but there is one thing that we can all have that will connect all of the pieces.

It is the feeling and vibration of “I am enough.” Self-acceptance leads to a feeling of power, of grace and of love. The feeling of being enough comes from the knowledge that everything you desire to be or have comes from inside of you. If you spend most of your life looking for the right job to make you feel a certain way, a partner to make you feel a certain way or a child to make you feel a certain way, you have taken your power and given it away freely to that person or thing. “Here thing, I will feel good about myself when I get you. When you do this for me in this certain way I will feel good about who I am.” Good fucking luck.

When you are waiting for someone else to make you feel good and then you see another woman with the things you want, jealousy and envy can arise. Since you are feeling shitty about yourself because you are in a vibration of scarcity the next step is to take what is hers or try to cut her down in order to make yourself feel better.

If you are still living in that paradigm you are going to go nowhere fast.

The new paradigm is about knowing all of your power, all of your pleasure, all of your sex appeal comes from self-acceptance of who you are. How do we find self-acceptance? By doing the things that make us feel good. By being with people the lift us up. By lifting up the people around us. By speaking to ourselves in the way that we want to be spoken to by others.

This is not selfishness and this is not narcissism. This is self-respect. Self-respect leads to empowerment which leads to the ability to uplift others. Tearing each other down, comparing what I have to what you have and competing with each other are of the old paradigm where we were forced to give our power away and we had shameful experiences being a woman. In order to step into the new paradigm without the contradictory energy of desiring sisterhood but living in an untrusting way with females we have two very important things to work on inside:

  1. Self-acceptance
  2. Trust that the feelings you desire come from inside of you (joy, pleasure, confidence, peace, creativity, prosperity)

When you have ownership of these two things all the rest falls into the place. Fear of other women taking what is yours goes away, the insecurities about yourself no longer are projected onto other people and you spend less time looking at other people's instagram accounts and feeling shitty about yourself. Life becomes more... pleasure filled.

If you haven’t read Regena Thomashauer’s book Pussy: A Reclamation, read it. She is the founder of The School of Womanly Arts in New York City and is on the leading edge of the female empowerment movement. Her life story and dedication to helping women find their power in their sex and in their femininity has inspired me in my own work. I wonder how it could inspire you...
